Just a little demo of John's 1978 JMP Marshall 2203 100w with my Series II Plexi R/T mod and tube buffered effects loop.

Damn Mike...as usual, your work and playing is top notch. Outstanding.

quick question...since it was a 2203, why did you need to add a master volume on the back?

Thank you for the kind and encouraging words.
I changed the amp circuit over to a 4 hole Super Lead which removed the Marshall style master volume. I then added my style master on the back of the amp and where the Marshall master was on the front of the amp is now a gain control for channel one. Volume I and II are both different style gain controls which open up the amp to a lot more possibilities.

:coffee: Sippin morning coffee and watching you rock that amp.
Great way to start the day. Great amp and your playing does it justice.

I’m a picky bastard when it comes to early EVH tone but 10 seconds in I could tell he nails it. “This kids got the stuff” lol. 2 questions, what delay are you using and do you still have the Marshall majors, actually 3 what about using switchable tube/ solid state rectifiers?

    Thank you!
I'm just using a Danelectro FAB 600ms delay. I like it because it has low noise and doesn't eat batteries all the time. :)
I sold my Marshall Major to George Lynch's friend, Harris.
Yes, if a customer wants I would install a switchable on/off tube/solid state rectifier switch.

    Thank you!
Yeah, I really like where the mids sit in this amp.
On stage it's a dream to play with this type of mid range.

Echoing what's been said, great playing and I love the tone. I was surprised that high and low inputs both sounded so good on the second channel. Would be cool to hear the channel one low/high and the also the lead/bass. On the other hand, when you find a killer tone out of an amp all the other options fall into the nice-to-have category.

I appreciate the kindness my friend, thank you.
Channel 1 input (high/low) is just a stock super lead with master volume.
I've demoed this channel in many of my other videos before but I didn't in this one.
    I forgot to. :)
I did demo the super lead and super bass switch settings but didn't caption it. (sorry)
Channel 2 input (high/low) is the modded channel and definitely more fun to play through.
