Bygonetones says he has seen a few of these over the years in the UK for sale....these are the only ones I have ever seen in the US. Regardless, pretty rare.
I got these on Ebay many years ago, and finally got them restored and put together. They were trashed, but rare, so I snagged them.
Original 9" logos, plastic feet, input jacks. New tolex, handles, grills.

I happen to like the white trim string from '76, which they came with, as well.
Originally came with G12H blackback 50 watt speakers, with aluminum domes.

I do have one original small aluminum serial tag, which also indicates '76.

Haven't decided on speakers, yet. Maybe some 12" coaxials :)
I am just starting to get my music room back in order, after my son and family moved.

    Nice monitor cabinets.
Why not try some G12H(55) or those AlNiCo's?

What coaxials did you have in mind?

Altec Lansing made a 12" Coaxial speaker. I don't remember the model number. The Altec 604 is an amazing 15" driver.

Will say those are a first for me.... Pretty dang cute they are!
    12" cut outs?
    G12-65 or G12-80 if you're going to run a 100 watter?

    Not sure yet.
An Eminence coax would be cheapest way to go for vocals, and Celestion makes a nice 12" coax as well.
I may just put some vintage Celestions of different flavors in them for guitar.

OK those are SO COOL! And I just happen to have a pair of 1976 T1281 blackbacks for sale right now. Your cabinets and my speakers should get together and make babies.

Not sure how I missed this post.. but this was actually a great idea as a dedicated guitar speaker monitor. It’s the perfect time gear wise for this to catch on again as the frfr monitor (linearity and crossover point) is the weak link for cab sims. (well after they lift the ban on max gatherings of 5 lol)

I have never seen those before. All I can say is you did a great job restoring them. Not sure what I'd put in them, either.

Monitors with guitar speakers are damn awesome for music room / jam space / garage band type applications
