I’m surprised nobody has mentioned a JTM45 in a 1 x 12 combo. Put a nice 60s or 70s grille cloth on it and I’d be all over it.
that one looks like small check to me.
But nice, yeah. Very nice!
I’m convinced that 90% of those spewing negativity about the 900s have never played one and are just repeating what they’ve read somewhere. The...
Also when you grab a used 1912 cab from a garage sale for €70 that turns out to have your favourite and somewhat rare Celestion in it: a...
I’m a sucker for Marshall checkered grill cloth, but damn that Escher fabric sure looked great too!
Another first year example. This one’s a 4501 DR. I got it slightly used in the mid 90s after my 6101 crapped out on me and never looked...
This is such a load of bollocks. “You” don’t have to turn the gain all the way up. There’s a lot of good sounds in a DR if you dial it in using...
I’ve been rocking my 4501 for more than 25 years. To me, the key is in what they say around the 8:00 mark: turn up the gain on channel A. That’s...

Yeah, but did you try hard enough?!?
I had a SV20 for about a year and a half. It’s a good amp, but I still preferred my old JCM900 4501 that I’ve had for over 25 years.
I’m a sucker for Marshall large check, but on this cab I think Vox diamonds would look fantastic.
Beautiful woodwork, but IMO the cab would look soooo much better with a nice grill cloth instead of the bare black baffle and metal speaker covers.
A previous owner had Jim sign it at a trade show, that’s my guess.
I like the yellow cord. And the checkered grill cloth, of course.
I was told there’d be no math…
I have a six knob license. Six knobs, all on 6. Master control knobs don’t count.
28 knobs and 9 buttons! I don’t think I have the proper license to operate that…
I like high wattage speakers. My faves are the 80s Celestion S12-150 Sidewinder and Fane Medusa 100. I also dig the 125 watts Eminence Tonkerlite.
1 x 12 or 2 x 10 = combo
2 x 12, 4 x 10, 4 x 12 = head + cab.
Just my €0.02
