Yep, a Black Flag PA is a difficult one, I have an April 69 and it has the Black Flag Plexi front, gut shots are your only hope.

Wow those prices ( Reverb ) are crazy, do they actually sell for these prices!! I like the fact he's a vintage amp guy but he doesn't have an amp to test them in lol, which kind of contradicts his '' Perfectly Matched '' Quad I feel, although to be fair every dealer you see has matched valves...

If you do buy it, the first thing I would look at is the wiring on the Imp'd selector and the mains selector too.

It would have been fitted with the revvo flat plate casters which had 3 fixing points with 2Ba screws, very difficult to spot if it's been dragged around as the holes will soon block up. but they'll be there.

Lol, we're not talking car batteries here, if you're concerned use 1.5v AA or A, I just use an old tired 9v from a pedal.

One thing I find confusing is you don't mention testing with a battery, it's the first thing we would do if we had the slightest of concerns.

Quite a lot of money for such vague pictures, you need a few more internals and some of the T/X's externally really.

It does seem that way, odd that they weren't saved when replaced, forgive my cynicism but going on the fact tech's never throw stuff out, eg, save all the valves you replace, putting them in the boxes that came with the new valves you just fitted, 50 years on......... NOS Valves for sale, they...

The other confusing thing around the 69 era was the S/ xxxxA and this one too being S/A xxxxA but as we agree now not a 69.

Quite pricey for just a cab though.

A really interesting and confusing period this for me. Stand up P/T and all filter caps up top, is that more 71? The brown Hunts cap did this disappear with this new P/T and rectifier set up?. I'm thinking is it more 1970 than 69.
