Hey, Scozz!
Yeah, we can hear some difference…. But, I guess the different cabs (difference in size and speakers) makes them sound more distant from each other.
Hi there.
I saw this pretty new video Marshall released in Youtube.
Great video. Much better miking than the head comparison (IMHO).
NOTE: It's nice to hear how they sound in the original combo (1x10 vs 1x12 vs 2x12). But would be also nice to hear all of them in the same cab.
In my insignificant opinion, the amp can sound thin when it´s played in low volumes (and I'm not talking about bass/treble). But when you are able to turn up the Master, it´s another level. Perfect just like the recordings we all love.
Of course not everyone can play it loud, but there are...
Actually, I don't know what to expect... I have the Studio heads that I love.
I guess it´s just a different finish... But it has been released some years ago (5 maybe?)
Well... In theory, you only have to unscrew the chassi (4 screws at the bottom of the amp) and screw back into the new headshell.
But in my case, the new headshell didn't come with the screw holes. As they (Sourmash) didn't have any Marshall Studio head there, they didn't have the hole...
Hey, man! :)
Thanks for the comment.
The Plexi headshell was my choice. They can do what you ask.
But the size, actually the original SC20 is 1cm larger than SV20. You can check in their website. (510mm / 20.1" vs 500mm / 19.7").
And, beside that, Sourmash made a little mistake. They asked me...
My journey in white gear started when I was ordering my Friedman Smallbox...
I saw Chris Shiflett and his white Friedman half stack... And I said "fuck yeah!".
And I couldn't stop anymore... LOL
In fact, this tolex is not exactly white. It's almost white...
My only non-white head now is the...
Hey, man!
Got them from Sourmash!
These cliffs are interesting! I saw some white SV20 with these white cliffs nuts!
I will keep the original HS for possible resale in the future (I have no plans to sell these amps, but.... we never know).
The SV20 HS is snake and the SC20 is standard!
Thanks...
