Noisy MG15CD

Hello all
I have recently got hold of a MG15CD amp for practice at home. The CD input is great for playing along with backing tracks. I am a bit concerned that I get a lot of hissing/white noise with this amp even with nothing at all plugged in. Does anyone else have this amp, and get the same problem? or have I got a problem that can be fixed. Don't know if this is usual, as this is the first Marshall amp I have had.

Thanks.

Re: Noisy MG15CD

I have an MG 10, similar but smaller. It does hiss quite alot even with no input, in fact much more than my 40W DSL401.

Re: Noisy MG15CD

Many thanks for that. At least I now know that it is perhaps a common problem. I will have to try out a few practice amps from other manufacturers to find something a bit less noisy.
