MB4210 fan like a buzzsaw

Got myself a MB4210 bass amp and I love the sound, especially given the price and size of it. One major gripe though - the cooling fan is noisy as hell and appears not to be on any kind of Schmitt trigger, so once it decides to kick in it turns on and off every few seconds.
Anyone replaced the stock cooling fan with something a little less resembling a Harley at full throttle? If so where did you get it from?

Thanks,
NickH

Is it a stock fan? Or did someone put it on there?

They have a fan Stock but the aint very loud! You might want to find out the diameter and the voltage and just get a quiet replacement

Re: MB4210 fan like a buzzsaw

The one in there currently is the standard one which shipped with the amp.
I'm sure there are replacement fans available, I was curious if anyone had practical experience of a good brand of quiet fans - I'm sure Marshall didn't go to WorldsNoisiestCoolingFan.com when they sourced the original parts...

There is a stock fan you can buy, but I think it's mostly used on the MG series and such; don't know if it would work with yours. I use a desktop fan behind my combo. I could care less how it looks, because it moves a lot of air and it isn't noisy....not when I'm playing at half-volume.
