Did the jcm900 series come stock with el34's or 6550's ?

EL34s. There were some that came with 5881/6L6 when the supply of EL34 valves ran thin.

Thanks for the reply! I'm thinking about purchasing a 900. Is there any years to stay away from? I think this one is from 1990. 50 watter

They should all be good, I'd go with earlier models (Just a thing for me), just make sure all the caps are fine.

The 1990 should be EL34
