JCM2000 TSL60 little/no output
I used to be a member here but haven't been back in a while and I'm not sure of my details. Lurked around and cant't seem to find this problem so I wondered if anyone could help.
The amp has not been in use for almost a year until I started playing it at bedroom levels a couple weeks ago. I turned it on last night and found that there was no sound coming from the cab other than the slight hum I usually get (mains?). All lights on the front panel work (save for the one under the power rocker switch, I guess this is unrelated?) and all tube heaters seem to be glowing as normal. Today I had a closer look and found that cranking either of the OD channels gave some very quiet output from the cab but to my ears there is nothing from the clean at any level. I have a spare preamp tube I know to be good and one power tube, can I swap the power tubes out one at a time for testing or would i need to keep them paired at all times? I have not biased recently but it all sounded fine a few days ago. Thanks for any help you can offer. Any more details I can think of or find, I'll add later. |

You should go to the Preamp Tubes: What, Where.....etc. thread and repost your question. MartyStrat knows more about tubes than the manufacturers themselves and he's there a lot.
