Bass State B150

Hello.

I have a small problem with my combo.
(Marshall Bass State B150)
The Active input has decided to stop working.
(The Passive input works just fine.)
I read in a review of this combo, that it could be the input socket that was at fault

Before tearing into it, I just wanted to ask if anyone on here have had the same problem? Or if someone of you would happen to know what it could be?

I would definitely start by replacing the input jack. It's a cheap fix to start out with and it's best to eliminate the easiest to fix, simple problems first.

Changed the input jacks, and the Active input started working again!

Easy fix!

I have the complete schematic for this amp (on .pdf file)if anyone should need it.

Is there anybody who knows how to contact Madviking?
It seems that B150 schematics is almost unfindable!
And it seems Madviking is the only one in the world capable to have it! :-)

its getting louder and dies away from time to time. so i have to find the schematics for a friend who repairs it

I have a B65 bass state and the active input has not worked since I got it, now the passive is starting to go out, I was wondering where you got the parts for the input? I am sure they're similar if not identical to the b150's. Did you get stock replacements, or just some mono plugs off the shelf?

Also, I would love the schematics (they may be a little different but it still might work.

Hello Deanq4

I bought stock replacements off ebay. Paid $5 for them.
If you look at the ones installed in your amp I'm pretty sure you can find the ones you need.
Something like this?
Mono input jack PC mount, switched for modern Marshall - eBay (item 300249220926 end time Sep-09-08 08:33:47 PDT)

If you contact Marshall, maybe they can help you out with the schematics for your amp?

Like others here I bumped into your thread by googling the B150. If it's any help, I could put the pdf of the schematics for the 150 on my web site. That would save you a lot of effort, and anyone else getting here would be able to find it.
