Dead 6100lm

Hi guys and gals. I am brand new to this site.

I have a 30th that died on me last night. It was plugged into a power strip, but the power strip was plugged into an outlet that is old and loose. It came unplugged and then back on really fast over and over for a few seconds. After that, the amp was off and nothing happens. I moved it to another outlet and nothing. Checked the fuses (even the ones inside the case), they were fine, nothing blown. I even tried a different power cord. Nothing. The lighted switch does not come on either. I mean nothing at all happens.

What could this be? I am a gigging musician, so this makes me very nervous.

thanks for any help. I am glad i found this site!!

Check for contunuity on your power cord.. Might try using a power cord from a different amp if you have one....

Re: Dead 6100lm

thanks for the reply.

I checked the cord, as well as tried two other ones. As well, my AC30 works with the cord in question, so it is the amp.

again, thanks for any and all help!
Rock on

Re: Dead 6100lm

Hope it's not a blown power input transformer. Can that happen by cycling power repeatedly? I don't know.

check wires between power socket and power switch (with unplugged power cord)..
you say power cord is OK, but when you turn power switch in ON position, nothing happens (switch is before transformer)...
also check power switch...
if you have multimeter, it can be very usefull...
