Ok, I need some help in figuring out what to do with my JCM2000. It's hooked up to a single 4x12 Marshall cab (1960A Lead) and sounds pretty freakin awesome.
I want to know what things I can add to it to give me a more killer/tighter tone. I play 7 string guitars mostly (think Nevermore), so I need a tighter sound. I dont know anythign about mods/rackmounts/etc etc so thats why I need help and didn't know where to turn. This video here: YouTube - Seymour Duncan Blackouts demo Check out his rig, sounds freaking sweet. I have no idea his setup, but I'm hopign someone on here knows what the rackmounted devices are on top of his amp/head. I have no idea what a tubescreamer and stuff are, preamps and such. I also want a "Lead" channel, for that I'd need at the very least a delay pedal I assume? Any suggestions? How does a "loop" work (how do I plug in the pedals so that it actually works)? Sorry guys, I'm really new to this. To sum up all the gibberish above, here's what I need to know: -What do I need in order to give me a better "metal" tone coming out of my head? -I need a Lead channel, so I'm thinking a delay pedal and wah pedal, how do I go about plugging all that in? -The amp came with a footswitch to change between overdriven channel and clean, problem is, if I want a Lead channel I also need reverb....should I just buy a reverb pedal and onloy turn it on whne I need, or is there a way to switch between 3 channels (normal, normal+reverb, clean) seeing as how the head has built in reverb; I'd have the delay+wah pedal hooked up to the normal+reverb channel obviously. I assume I'd need to buy a different footswitch to accomplish that seeing as how the one I have only has one button on it lol Thanks for your help and thanks for taking the time to read! |
