problem with my Mg15dfx

When i first purchased the amp used it worked fine, after some time when i would turn it on a high pitched noise would come out and wouldnt and it wouldnt get any reading when i would play the guitar. eventually i figured if i applied downward pressure to the imput where the guitar plugged into the amp, it would play but with some fuzz, cant quite diagnoise the problem though, any help would be greatly appreciated!
