You are lame, seriously. You act like you're everything.

This has NOTHING to do with how your amp sounds, or how it's modded, because I couldn't give a flying f*** about it. But you behaviour is really annoying, bragging in every post about how you got buttf***ed by some amp modders, and how you found "the holy grail" and how your amp is the best in the world. It's amazing how most of the guys modding amps on this forum, incl. myself, can have fun modding their amps, talking mods with each other and helping each other out, but everytime one reads one of your posts, you have to read a novel of bullshit before you can watch a ****ing youtube clip. Seriously. And as far as I know, you haven't at a single point posted any schematic, or any part values for others to try out or discuss, which IMO is the idea of having this forum - to help each other out and gain/spred knowledge. So, what you contribute to the forum is absolutely nothing in my opinion. You should back down and stop acting like a legend, because you aren't.

Alright here it is billy, no hate, no BS, just straight shooting.

I was one of the first people to tell you your amp didnt sound half bad in your first thread but the fact is that you really arent doing anything more than riding coat tails. This will rub plenty of people wrong right of the bat espescially since your blatently copying mods which by your own admission the guys at the sloclone forums figured out for you. To many of us this screams that your just another cookie cutter, solder by numbers guy with a questionable understanding of the big picture . In my (and Im sure many others) opinion people like this have no buisness screwing around with other peoples amps.

In short the way you handle critism, rip on other peoples acutal work theyve come up with by themselves and claiming to actually know as much as guys that have been in this game 20+ years all while trying to present this image of some kind of funky robin hood...it just makes you look shady and like you had an agenda since you started posting.

I leave other peoples mods alone out of respect. I usually wont do a fortin,splawn or suhr or bogner.
Those guys are class acts.
I targeted camerons stuff because it was personal !
But in the end if people want something ,,, and me being their
"audio tailor" I have to take their needs into account.

Okay, BB. I've got an Egnater Renegade. The OD channel is 4 stages, not including a DC cathode follower tone stack. My complaint about this amp is a few things. These characteristics exist despite preamp tube, speaker, and guitar changes.:

-The lowend is too soft. There is not enough attack and grind.
-The voicing has too much emphasis on high mids.
-The overdrive feels too stiff and "clean". Not enough compression and "squish".
-Pinch harmonics are difficult to achieve.

How would you begin addressing these tonal complaints from a mod perspective?

I dont mess with egnaters but most of his stuff is based on marshalls. Lowend could be coupling caps or fb circuit. Even as far as the filtering but I never seen or was interested in egnater chinese amps.
Voicing can lay in the early preamp cathode resistors n bypass caps that determine frequencies boosted or bypassed therefore enhancing or muting some frequencies depending on resistor n cap choices.
Might be a ts issue. Alot can be done there too. I tend to favor a 39k . Not too dark but thickens the amp nicely.
Overdrive is also an early preamp issue with the plate resistor choices as well as cathode setup (resistor/cap) comboes.
Everything works in unison,,, squeeze a little hear,,, open it up a lil there. Its like plumbing but with electricity instesd of water.

Never saw a schematic but once you know what parts do n what they sound like when changed you can trace the circuit n detect what is connected to which pin on the tube socket,,, most every amp is the same.

I just love this shit . Im passionate, been fukked over n turned a really sucky situation around. I never expected the anymosity n attacks very early on to get my stuff back from Cameron. That early mob mentality put me on a serious defense.
So much defense at once it morphed into offense.
I never set out to do mods professionally till Camerons exfriends insisted I should.
I actually fought the idea for over a month. After alot of discussion I agreed.

They said Cameron is finished! They wanted to get people what thay wanted without risk. They elected me to provide a service. They have a retail establishment n work with another highly respected modder that has his own line.

I would like to clean up the negativity n move forward. If you dont like what ive done,,,, all I can ask is please look at it as if you were in my position.

I get alot of support. Some still are struggling with the idea but it is what it is.
I dont really need the assholes coming on showing they are as much of an asshole as they portray me to be. Lets just agree to disagree if you dont like it.
The hateful comments n taunts really dont affect me anylonger. At first they were hurtful n depressing... Especially in the beginning.
In the end im just a dude who got ripped off n fought back.
I never knew how much I love building n modding amps.
Mark Cameron had a grear thing goin n built his whole career off another mans work.
Jim Marshall built his career off of another mans work.
We wipe our ass,,drive our car,screw our girls n enjoy everything thats been invented before we were even alive.

Switchblate number 1 n 2 are on loan to friends in the studio.
These amps FEEL different than anything ive ever had,,,very much badass marshall but a lil mesa touch sensativity in there. They are super punchy. The notes HIT YOU like sonic punches. Really addictive. They range of ovedrive is just awesome. All growl,,,no fizz. They band scenario is where they shine too. They cut in the heaviest of mixes.
I actually plugged in my soldano n my splawn after playing these with dissapointing results with how what was once the best of the best are now lackluster in comparrisons.
The cameron jose n aldrich just kill.
I took them to a local well.known music store n the staff were like kids waiting for an icecream cone .
I am probably going to get mics on it tomorrow. I will post a clip . Def by thurs.
Anyway. I said so much. I been thru alot and im busy as hell.
Thanks for being realistic n cool. Its definately a breath of fresh air after a long fight.

....but it sounds like you're taking a Ferarri to beat another Ferarri. If you doing other peoples Mod's, you're not pushing the boundaries like your examples. Those guys took a completely new look on their given genre's and made something completely new and, subjectively, better. Now we can go on and argue all you want about Porsche vs. Ferarri, blah, blah, blah, but in all reality, a Porsche is NOT a Ferarri. It's something new entirely. Your Mod's are someone else's design with some tweaks. Why else would you advertise Jose Mods, and Cameron Mods, etc. Your analogy should be rooted in something like Nascar. Everyone's high performance machine is the same except some minor tweaks.

btw, could you explain again why you do what you are doing? We haven't heard the story yet, and we're so intrigued......again.

and please stop talking about how you're saving all of our wallets. You continue to repeat yourself how it's not for the money. If it wasn't, put your info out on the web. But you can't for a number of reasons. Are you cheaper? Absolutely, no question. But stop saying it's not for the money, because it partially is. You do what you do because you love to do it and you make some money as well. It's amazing how most of the guys modding amps on this forum, incl. myself, can have fun modding their amps, talking mods with each other and helping each other out, but everytime one reads one of your posts, you have to read a novel of bullshit before you can watch a *ing youtube clip. And as far as I know, you haven't at a single point posted any schematic, or any part values for others to try out or discuss, which IMO is the idea of having this forum - to help each other out and gain/spred knowledge. I was one of the first people to tell you your amp didnt sound half bad in your first thread but the fact is that you really arent doing anything more than riding coat tails. This will rub plenty of people wrong right of the bat espescially since your blatently copying mods which by your own admission the guys at the sloclone forums figured out for you. To many of us this screams that your just another cookie cutter, solder by numbers guy with a questionable understanding of the big picture . In my (and Im sure many others) opinion people like this have no buisness screwing around with other peoples amps. In short the way you handle critism, rip on other peoples acutal work theyve come up with by themselves and claiming to actually know as much as guys that have been in this game 20+ years all while trying to present this image of some kind of funky robin hood...it just makes you look shady and like you had an agenda since you started posting. The OD channel is 4 stages, not including a DC cathode follower tone stack. My complaint about this amp is a few things. These characteristics exist despite preamp tube, speaker, and guitar changes.: -The lowend is too soft. There is not enough attack and grind. -The voicing has too much emphasis on high mids. -The overdrive feels too stiff and "clean". Not enough compression and "squish". -Pinch harmonics are difficult to achieve. How would you begin addressing these tonal complaints from a mod perspective?

Even as far as the filtering but I never seen or was interested in egnater chinese amps. Voicing can lay in the early preamp cathode resistors n bypass caps that determine frequencies boosted or bypassed therefore enhancing or muting some frequencies depending on resistor n cap choices. Might be a ts issue. Alot can be done there too. I tend to favor a 39k . Not too dark but thickens the amp nicely. Overdrive is also an early preamp issue with the plate resistor choices as well as cathode setup (resistor/cap) comboes. Everything works in unison,,, squeeze a little hear,,, open it up a lil there. Its like plumbing but with electricity instesd of water. Never saw a schematic but once you know what parts do n what they sound like when changed you can trace the circuit n detect what is connected to which pin on the tube socket,,, most every amp is the same. __________________ I am Anarchy ! I never set out to do mods professionally till Camerons exfriends insisted I should. I actually fought the idea for over a month. After alot of discussion I agreed. They said Cameron is finished! They wanted to get people what thay wanted without risk. They elected me to provide a service. They have a retail establishment n work with another highly respected modder that has his own line. I would like to clean up the negativity n move forward. If you dont like what ive done,,,, all I can ask is please look at it as if you were in my position. I get alot of support. Some still are struggling with the idea but it is what it is. I dont really need the assholes coming on showing they are as much of an asshole as they portray me to be. Lets just agree to disagree if you dont like it. The hateful comments n taunts really dont affect me anylonger. At first they were hurtful n depressing... Especially in the beginning.
