Don't touch those, reliability issue!!! They get microphonic very easily also.....

They don't even come near a real Mullard (tone), get yourseft a few I61 or I63.

I know the very best guy for NOS tubes. Let me know if you need is e-mail, he's in California and is an ex-guitar player for David Lee Roth, his name is Terry Kilgore aka "Tubetramp", that guy knows his stuff, very fair on prices also, he will pre burn test all the tubes he sells and the guy will listen to your demands tonewise......

I have a pair of the 34Ms. They are in my 2550. Haven't had any issues with them. Sound Mullard like but are not as good as the real thing. Need a cold bias to sound their best. I have XF1s, XF2s, XF3s and XF4 Mullards so i know what a real Mullard 34 sounds like.

As far a reliability issues go, the 12ax7Ms have a reputation for failing but I've not heard that about the 34M and that has not been my personal experience.

Re: GT-EL34M GOLD SERIES

Why spend the money on NOS, they have problems to, if you are looking for the closes thing to mullards, try a hot grade (version) of the SED SVEL34 they sound great and provide a sweet tone "amazing crunch". Check out Elite Vacuum Tubes

Re: GT-EL34M GOLD SERIES

I bought a supposed matched quad,,They sound real nice too...40hr. burn in time is usually what the doctor orders.I was in a hurry so no burn in..I have the facility to check my bias and plate voltages often..I checked them after a few hours of Attenuator playing, they drifted a little not much though...I have the JJ's,Siemens,Gt EL 34s,Chinese 40hr. burned in's..These are Russian and for the money they sound real good, not quite the real deal....I must have gotten some good ones...I tried all four..They are not a perfect Match...I have Mercury Iron's in power and output and 10h Merc choke...Trace a Voodoo did some HooDoo to it too....Well bang for the buck is what GT EL34M's are....They sound great!!!!
