Marshall Valvestate AVT 20 Problem - help?

Hi,
This is my first post on this great forum, any help will be much appreciated.

I just bought a used 2002 model AVT20, it sounds great and grungy for its size.

However when i increase the reverb control after about 3 on the dial it begins to hum/buzz. I did notice it in the guitar shop where i bought it, but though it was a shielding problem with the guitar I was demoing it with. I can live with it, but if anyone has any advice for a easy fix or any info for the same problem I'd be grateful to hear it?

Can't say for certain, but try checking the ground continuity in the cables between the reverb and the amp chassis--this assumes the reverb is in a separate box with an input and an output. Usually RCA type jacks/plugs are the connectors, sometimes the grounds can disconnect.

Hope this helps,
Roger
