Marshall Valvestate AVT 20 Problem - help?
Hi,
This is my first post on this great forum, any help will be much appreciated. I just bought a used 2002 model AVT20, it sounds great and grungy for its size. However when i increase the reverb control after about 3 on the dial it begins to hum/buzz. I did notice it in the guitar shop where i bought it, but though it was a shielding problem with the guitar I was demoing it with. I can live with it, but if anyone has any advice for a easy fix or any info for the same problem I'd be grateful to hear it? |

Re: Marshall Valvestate AVT 20 Problem - help?
Can't say for certain, but try checking the ground continuity in the cables between the reverb and the amp chassis--this assumes the reverb is in a separate box with an input and an output. Usually RCA type jacks/plugs are the connectors, sometimes the grounds can disconnect.
Hope this helps, Roger |
