Marshall Valvestate 100R blown?

hey. we have a marshall valvestate VS100R that we use in gigs. someone who borrowed in a gig seemed to leave in a bad state. The problem is the amp still sounds, but the clean channel is distorted and the distortion channels sound buzzy and compressed We thought the speaker had blown but we plugged in another cabinet and it still remained the same. however, when plugged in to a powered speaker the clean and distortion channels seem fine. any help would be very much appreciated!
