speaker replacement question...

I have a Marshall MG50R CD solidstate 50 watts amp and recently I've noticed that the speaker still has sound but it has no bass...even when I turn the bass setting to 10 on both the clean and boost channel. I'm not sure if the speaker is blown or something is wrong with the effects panel.

Do I need a replacement speaker? If so, where can I find a great replacement speaker?

Thanks!

Re: speaker replacement question...

First thing I would do is try it with another speaker somehow before you buy a new one. Make sure it's the same impedance.

Re: speaker replacement question...

have you pulled the speaker out of the amp to see if is blown?
if you need to replace the speaker there are a ton of retailers that sell speakers online or storefront. celestion and eminence are popular and weber and tone tubby make some great speakers as well!
post some pics of the current speaker if you are not sure if it is blown!
