Whats the most useless pedal you've ever owned?
Title pretty much says it all. So much cool stuff I have owned and used through the years. A bunch I wish I had back and a bunch I wish I would have never bought in the first place. For me a noise gate was the most useless. I know tons of people who use to swear by those things.
I had one, used it for about a month and dumped it soon after. I am sure it was just me but I never could get the thing set to my liking, It was always kicking in and out.....maybe it was defective..... but I thought it was just USELESS! What was your most usless piece of shit pedal you've ever owned?

A DOD Grunge pedal. Terrible sound, never could get anything good out of it.

Re: Whats the most useless pedal you've ever owned?
The DigiTech Jimi Hendrix signature pedal. I bought it thinking it would be a good deal if I could get a useful vintage vibe and octavia sound from it. The vibe was the only half-way usable thing about it. The wah wasn't that great and the fuzz settings sucked hard. I wasn't even trying to copy Hendrix's tone, just get some useful effects. The thing could do neither.
I sold it within a week to some kid on a Jimi fix. |

The stock Tubescreamer I bought a couple of years ago. Biggest tone killer I ever owned. Gave up after owning it a year and flogged it.

I don't mean to be hating on Behringer.....but EVERYTHING I ever bought made by them went right back. It was all cheap useless thin sounding JUNK.....of course, thats just my opinion. I am sure there is something they make that is a good piece of gear, I just have not come across it yet.

The EHX LPB-1 one until I moded it. It's suposed to be a clean boost but the thing distorts on it's own if you use humbuckers and robs the signal of some high end while ading an anoying low mid boost.

Re: Whats the most useless pedal you've ever owned?
I hated my Boss Acoustic Simulator. I gave it to the other guitar player in the band, and he showed up at practice with a good sound out of it. Figures. I think overdrive pedals in general suck, but was particularly disappointed with my DOD pre-amp 250. By the way, I think my Boss Noise Suppressor works fine except when I'm soloing. I also like my Behringer EQ with faders that light up in relation to how much sound is coming through that frequency for easy to read feedback suppression. Maybe other brands have this feature, but I haven't seen it. Monitor feedback is a thing of the past.
