New Gibson Super 57 Pick-Ups - Thoughts?

I recently installed a 498T in my LP and I really like the tone.

Has anyone tried a new Super 57 pick-up that Gibson is installing in some of their new LP's? If so, how does it compare to the Classic 57, 57+ and 498T?

Thanks!

DP

You're right. I checked too. Did a Google search and here is a YouTube video that shows the new LP Traditional Pro II that is being carried by Musicians Friend and Guitar Center. It has the new Super 57 in the bridge.

What do you think about this guitar and it's tone? Thanks!

Re: New Gibson Super 57 Pick-Ups - Thoughts?

They sound great with all the gear they used. No for real they do sound good. They are the only Gibby pup I care for. They have kind of cheaped out on them though. they used to use PE wire like the originals but now they use a died poly wire. To me they are no better than a GFS pup or any of the Japanese knock offs.
