The pedal is a combined delay and overdrive. it's a handy "little footprint" design that has real potential for a small board as a solo boost, but it offers nothing in the world for me. First it's $200, which is sensible when factoring in $100 for Dirt and $100 for Delay, EXCEPT 1. You had better like the dirt with your rig, 2. You had better like the delay with your rig, 3. You probably had better like how the two interact with each other, and 4. you had better like what you can get out of the minimal controls.

As a handy solo-delay for a small board guy or one who doesn't go apeshit over pedals it has potential. Otherwise, I rather cherry-pick my own dirt and my own delay and sacrifice real-estate for custom selection and more usable controls.

It seems to be "Eric Johnson lead tone in a box" with some analog echo.

I can get that sound with existing gear - and have more control over the elements of said tone.

Bjorn juhl built that with some retarded GC guy who wanted a delay and overdrive in one. Bjorn builds some of the greatest pedals available these days, so the sounds must be pretty damn good, but having a delay and od in one box without a loop built in makes the pedal useless when using it in conjunction with other pedals.

I imagine it would. And probably with more control over the various parameters.

The only thing this pedal's got going for it is it's small footprint. If you're making a small pedalboard, I imagine this would be ideal. I'm not sure whether I agree with the price, though.

As for the sound, it DOES sound good. But that's the least they could do for that kind of money, eh?

Here is my two cents on the pedal, for what it's worth...

First off, I think you may be looking at the pedal in the wrong light.
Forget the pedalboard scenario and think you were invited to sit in with a friends Blues or Jazz band. One, like myself, may bring a drive and a delay (to fatten things up a bit) with them for such an occasion and this pedal fits that bill. One pedal and one battery to deal with and no jumper cables makes this easy to deal with.

Secondly, the price of $200 isn't $2000 ...lol....personally life is too short to get hung up on price unless of course the item totally blows. Knowing BJorn personally I would doubt the pedal sucks so the only question is weather or not it plays well with my guitar and amp.

Lastly, this was my first time seeing that amp and man does that look like a real sweet heart of a little amp!

I bought it thinking this statement above. I used it with my C5h.
The gain was dull and lifeless, it took everything out of my class 5 that sounded good to me. With a fender clean, probably awesome. With my C5, it sucked balls.
I got a hall of fame instead..

It does seem that this pedal is meant as something that takes up little to no space & can be whipped out in a jam session situation to get a certain tone as opposed to being a link in a larger chain of pedals.

To me, I hear the Golden Cello & think "Cliffs of Dover" in a stompbox.

As noted above - I can certainly see it NOT working with a Marshall Amp
But I find I don't really like very much of any pedals with my Marshall set-ups

Whereas with my two Fender rigs pedals seem to be required more...

Just a thought - anybody else experienced that

Not every pedal/rack unit I have used has automatically "liked" a Marshall amp in the same way that a clean Fender tends to take to them, for example. Some simply sound like ass no matter what, but most others can sound killer with the right amount of knob twiddling.

I have a buddy who plays thru a Fender Hot Rod Deville & gets his various tones via an array of pedals. Sounds great, but the majority of said tones are coming form the stompers

I've been using my three channels more lately. Pedals are just an RC boost up front and the delays in the loop.
I'm really happy with this setup.
