Re: My rigg with sound samples!

how can I be critical when it sounds great....thank you

but one idea is to try a Sennheiser 421...

also I would (when recording) only plug into the box I am using...

I heard some verb on one of the recording and it did not sound great but, was fine...

if you have a good sounding room you can also use a distance mic...typically a condensor

another thought that came into my mind is that you could benfit from a bit more attack...maybe use the compressor only when really needed to beef up the sound..that is if I am thinking that the comp could of effected the attack...

(all these things need to be thought about in regrads to the mix)

no other replies....hmmm....(I would sure love to hear what people have to say...that is one way of leaning how other people view the world and it typically generates new ideas and directions...just my thoughts...)

St. Bede...I'll reply...
Excellent sounding rig man! Panama! Haven't played that one in a while. BTW-I think you've captured that Van Halen sound pretty well with this setup. Thanks for the posting. I enjoyed the clips.

Nice to hear your clips. I must've missed something because I never heard Panama, but enjoyed hearing your personal Marshall sound.

Panama is on the Peavey ocd blackstar.mp3 file.

I have updated with 3 new files....

Strata Blackmoore.mp3
I think I nailed Blackmoore´s sound whith the OCD and the Blackstar of the intro on the studio recording of "Man on the silver mountin"

Strata Jackhammer Blackstar.mp3
Just the difference of my Jackhammer and The Blackstar

And finaly Strata utan pedaler bara poweramp.mp3
Just my stratocaster thru 9200 PowerAmp with NO pedals. Clean Signal. For you to compare what the pedals do for my sound.
