I was wondering how i set up my effect board. Can i still use the stock Marshall pedal board w/ the other effects?
I only have a few pedals so far, they are as follows: Boss TU-2 Tuner MXR Carbon Copy Boss Acoustic Simulator Stock Marshall Pedal Board. I am also using a Stage Five SKB pedal Board Which order should i daisy chain these? Thanks! |

Re: Effects Question 4 Newbie
I do not know marshalls as well as I should...what is a "stock Marshall pedal board"...do you mean a channel switcher?...I am not sure if the Boss Acoustic Simulator is a moddeling type thing or a enhancer type thing....any way that does not matter too much...
A good way to figure how you want to place the order is to ask yourself...what sound do want to be effected in what way....for example I would think you would want to delay the acoustic guti. sound insteed of acoustisizing the delay... if you were using say a dist. pedal the question would be do you want to delay the dist or dist. the delay I myself do not put the turner into my effects chain because I belive it adverssly effects my tone but, I belive people put in front of the chain proably so they can see how the tunning is going even if they have fxs on...dig? there are a "few rules" to chaining fxs (have to do with how well your wha deals with dist. and when should you compress things...noise floor issues and why would you want your delays feedback not to fall of in volume) but, mostly it is how do you want it to sound....

Re: Effects Question 4 Newbie
the order you have looks good except put the delay last. to me it sounds most natural that way. also im sure where to put the acoustic simulator but i would guess towards the front because its the equivalent of changing something about the guitar so you want it closest to the guitar in the signal chain.

Re: Effects Question 4 Newbie
Wah > Compressor > Pitch Shifter/Octaver > Envelope Follower/Auto Wah > Overdrive >
Distortion > Fuzz > Phaser/Flanger > Equalization > Chorus > Delay & Echo > Reverb > Looper > Tuner > Line Booster/Conditionner..... You can try to place your EQ before your Tuner if it doesn't work before Delays |
