Pod 2.0 & DSL 50

Just wondered, has anyone managed to get the "headphone quality sound" from the Line 6 Pod 2.0 when used with a DSL 50, I've tried it in front of the amp & in the loop & it sounds weak & thin or just feedsback with the smallest amount of volume applied............Has anyone found a way or is it just not possible as it's designed for practise &/or online studio?
