Homemade Pedal Board

Basically was in need of a pedal board so I made one for £5!!!

I didnt have to buy the wood... got it from school.

Made from 15mm MDF and pine strips.

Wooly Door mat for pedals to stick to.

Plasti-kote black enamel paint.

Bits of Meccano to stick Wah to board.

Bit of thinking and it works better than any other board iv tried so far!!!

Re: Homemade Pedal Board

last summer I was trying to invent a pedal board that would work kind of like a flute mechanism....if you pressed one pedal, it could also activate 2 or more other pedals, and so on. But that was only smart until I found out about MIDI lol

Nicely done, from the photos looks very well indeed. Neccessity is the mother of invention or something like that. I just spent $300 on a board, yours looks as good as the one I bought.

Re: Homemade Pedal Board

I've made 2 all together.. I made one that was HUGE (see pic) for all my pedals that I had, and for the ones that were on order. I quit using that one cause having all my pedals on it seemed a bit noisy so I made a smaller one. (note the pic of the big one doesnt have any pedals on it but my Les Paul is there to show the size.)

Re: Homemade Pedal Board

Just wondering - what do you guys use to transport your pedalboards - i.e in terms of an exterior case.

Or do you simply remove your pedals from the board when you want to transport and set them up again each gig?

Re: Homemade Pedal Board

I did one too about a year ago it turned out killer!!
I used diamond plate contact paper(sticker) to cover the bottom, then aluminium thingies that slip on the edge of the wood which gave it a great look + more strength since the wood doesn frail on the edges and glued on some quality car carpeting (the ones under the rubber carpets) which is a little higher quality than a standard carpet.
anyways nice job and remember the best is DIY because you know its sturdy as fu++ and dependable!!!
