2004 gibson melody maker & 2014(?) bootlegger rye rocker

now i have been able to properly intonate both guitars but have no room to spare on these bridges. is this something that has been an issue lately?

don’t get me wrong i love both guitars and they are wonderful sounding and playing instruments but what is up with modern manufacturing processes that cannot get simple placement of parts on the products correctly? i mean come on, the abr has been around for 60 years, and you still can’t get it right?

    Yeah.

Adjustible bridges seem to mean they just eyeball post placement

didn’t say the black one was a gibson. seems someone needs to brush up on their reading comprehension.

:facepalm:Did not assume...and thus dont assume either. Two guitars with similar issues at OR near the same time (as it sounds)...would make any observant person question your situation and no you dont

Wow dude, you come here, open a thread asking for opinions and help and suddenly you bitch at peoples replies? It's not like Dan and MD gave you any shit. And then you reply they way you did. You might wanna try another forum, from my experience here people are usually nice and helpful.

    Ah Show biz

Seriously though .....one would think that in this day and age ,that at least Gibson is somehow "laser sighting" their post placement

You guys should see how I move / locate the bridges on all these 70s MIJ Les Pauls of mine.... The 75c setup......works pretty good

Act right. Admit when you're a twat and when you're not as accurate as you'd hoped.

EDIT: for instance, that was pretty rude of me.

The thing I see here is you, the op, instead of explaining further to clarify what Dan and Dog commented on ( lmo They didn't comment in a Derrogatory manner to warrant such a response) you chose to make personal attacks on them....It's not wtf is up with the abr/ Nashville bridges, but wtf's up with that shitty response. You asked the question and they commented in a manner to expand the conversation. I don't get the tone you're taking.

And I would like to add to The OP I wasnt trying to be a wise ass...to be honest, I have never seen a bridge that had to be set up like this but then again I have not seen everything!!!
