I couldn't even finish reading it. Killing civilians for sport... no wonder we get a bad name around the world.

And we went there with the purpose of combating terrorism where it supposedly started. :wtf:It looks to me we are the ones doing the terrorising and further breeding future suicide bombers by murdering unarmed civilians.

It's always amazing to me that people in general always bash the collective, rather than the few bad apples. The soldiers responsible for this should be prosecuted to the fullest, but not the entire military.

Amen. And while I'll never trust a "music" magazine for news, if it did happen this way, those guys should be executed.

I'm sure, while it's under wraps because it's clearly a big PR issue for the military, those guys are going to be prosecuted. Those are downright war crimes.

Rolling Stone Mag is a pile of shit, always has been. I'm not saying this ins't true but the mag sucks so bad, they need to resort to shock value to get readers. The interview they did with the American General (cant remember his name) that got him sacked was a pile of shit too.

While this may be the act of a few individuals, its not surprising. Our govt is responsible for a great many things. And we as a country should put a stop to it. Time to bring all our current politicians to accountability. Stop the illegal wars! Stop the Empire and nation building.

Just for the record, this has been reported in many other places not just RS.
But the "kill team" is sensationalist journalism at it's lowest. It wasn't a Kill Team, it was some guys commiting crimes.

I know we've had our disagreements before, but goddamn you are right on with this. Reminds me of a comment I left elsewhere this morning:

U know I think its worse when u think about whats going to happen with all those kids living in afghanistan, Just picture the 8 year olds...the war started in 2003 when they were born, and now by the age of 8 they have not been to school, they have grown up in a land of murder and evil. Just think about all the bad things they could do in their 20s

if that story is 100% accurate, and i doubt it is being that rolling sone haven't produced anything of value in the last 15 years, then the soldiers, and their commanding officer should be hung by their balls, and pictures sent to the afghan press. You can't blame every soldier or the entire army for that sort of behaviour, but they should be made an example of. I am 100% against this war, but I thank every soldier who fights for the freedoms that all allied countries have, and think it's a crying shame that some low life trigger happy cock smokers have no morals, put those fuckers on the front line, and I mean the real front line, not driving around small farming villages. The same should be done with convicted gangsters. More fucking low life scumbags

Really? The articles on Gen McChrystal, the BP oil spill, the Wall Street bail out and so many others don't ring a bell? Matt Taibbi has been kicking a$$ over there for sometime.
