Yes, no problems. My 425A fits on my JCM800 1960B, just perfectly.

I have both the 425a & b. Pretty sure they are Marine ply, same as the 1960 a/b. I will check later.

Check again, I thought mine was MDF or something but it just looked that way from all the black overspray. They are same construction as 1960 cabs.

Yeah I checked it even before seeing your post. Its indeed covered with some spray which made it look like cheap fibre. My back panel is fibre though

The spray is the glue. After assembly they are hooked on an overhead conveyor and into a glue spraying machine. They then go into an oven where they are heated ready for tolex application. The glue becomes active with the heat and the tolex is then applied to the glue.
This is why the best way to repair a tolex rip is to heat the area with a heat gun then stick the tolex back in place. Don't worry you can't get the area too hot, the oven at the factory is of couple hundred degrees C. If they had it much hotter the cabs would come out the other end on fire lol.

Thanks everyone, its been awhile since I was involved, wanted to get back in the game, got a JVM410H with the 1960B, but when I put the Modern Vintage in the loop, I now totally remember why Marshall ROCKS, I forgot about how good Feeling the overtones is....my neighbors are concerned....

I'm still in the process of hooking them up LOL, too many stuff to do so little time. They came out of Acoustic Control Corp combos. Interested? ;-)
