I live in Bryan, Texas. Gasoline at Wally World (The Murphy Store at Walmart) is running in the low $1.90's, a nickel less if you use a Walmart gift card and a dime less if you use a Walmart credit card. That's a damned good price!

So Friday I have to take my wife to a doctor's appointment in Tomball, Texas, about 90 miles away. Along the way I saw the gas prices dropping. $1.82 near Hempstead. $1.78 at the truckstop near the Hwy 2920 exit. Yet we get into Tomball and the price is an astounding $1.54! I was down to 1/4 tank so yeah, I filled up! The Saturn SUV took all of $16.00 worth before it clicked off. Usually it'd be more like $30.00. As it happens, we usually have to wait anywhere from 2 to 6 hours at the doctor's office but this time we were in an out in under an hour. That, topped off with rock-bottom gas prices, really made for a nice trip! We left home at 9:45 and were home before 2pm, and that was with a stop for gas and again at Jack in the Box for a bag of Monster Tacos. Great day! -Rod-

$1.92 is the cheapest in my town. It was as low as $1.59 a couple weeks ago.

We bitch cause were STILL getting screwed. At current crude prices the gallon cost here should be $1.50 not $2.33. Thats an 83 cent difference.
At a 20 gallon fill up thats translates into $16.60. Oil companies will still post record profits so dont worry bout them. At your $7.40 equivalent you are getting ass-balled. Straight up.

I heard the reason it's dropping is because we stepped up our domestic production so the Middle East is under cutting our prices, basically making us an offer we can't refuse. Which I guess really means it's been over inflated all this time.

I don't know how much commuting people do in Scotland but over here the average commute to work is about an hour. I'm doing 160 miles a day in the car so gas becomes a massive expense for me. I was working 7 days a week a few months back I was paying quite a bit to go to work.

It works out to just about $3 per gallon. 78.9 cents per litre. It may be cheaper in town but that's the lowest I've seen.

That's not what happened. Saudi Arabi ramped up production under US State Dept urging in order to make crude prices so low that Russia would not be able to make any money on oil exports which in effect caused the Rouble to drop 17% in value. This is all part of the Empires economic sanctions against Russia. This also affects domestic production as well. In order for fracking companies to make any profit at all, the price of crude needs to be $120 a barrel or more. This little game is killing investment in fracking. And as far as im concerned i think anything that kills off fracking is good thing.

Montréal, Canada, was 99.4 cent last week and now 1.04$... Equivalent to 3.32$ per gallon with conversion to USD.
