I saw that a while back. I strongly feel there was an issue with the shelves maybe over loaded. They should not have fallen like that.

No, they definitely should not have collapsed. Overloaded and not properly anchored.

That was liquids. Bottled liquids. If I remember the story right, it was the storehouse for a vodka distiller.

    Imagine the smell.

Imagine having to clean up the broken glass.

Imagine being in the crew that has to clean all that up and salvage what wasn't damaged.

Definitely those shelves were way overloaded. With proper load limits, and respecting them, failure of one section should not result in failure of the adjoining section.

That's what I was thinking. The man upstairs may have given him the permanent pink slip. I see the guy loading the skid on the bottom right got buried too. At least the forklift driver had a little protection since the forklift had a roof. That other guy had no protection at all.

I've seen many such videos over the years. I'm the Health and Safety Rep. at the warehouse where I work. Our safety standards would mean this should not happen....never say never though.
We get some agency staff come for temporary work that have horror stories from previous jobs.

I found the original story. 1.5 million rupees worth of Russian Vodka toasted. Apparently nobody was seriously injured according to the story I read. Holy shit that's having a bad day.

Did you see the cruise ships colliding in cozemel? Not quite as bad a day as this guy had but probably the same " oh f#ck" feeling.
