    I have a Reaper 55Hz 12" 30W British Invasion Guitar Speaker 16 ohms...

Basically NIB. Bought it to replace the Eminence that came in a Fender Hotrod Blues Junior...ended up putting a Jensen in it.
Think it seen maybe 30 min of play...its back in the box on the shelf.

Not a bad Speaker...I just preferred the Jensen for that amplifier and have no use for a single 30watt speaker. So it sits...unused.

I'm just tired of the Vintage 30. It's a great speaker but,it's everywhere. What I think I want is a 50 or 75 watt Greenback. WGS sound good at a good price.

The Creamback is basically a high wattage greenback....

If you don't like the midspike of the Vintage 30, WGS Retro 30 is the modern version of the V30 without the ear fatiguing quality of the V30.....

Or Celestion Classic Lead 80 is another good option....

Well...the T75 was touted as the "higher wattage Greenback".
Doesn't look like WGS makes the HM75 anymore.
Always wanted to try that one.
Hoping is was more mid 80's/broken-in T75 sounding.

    I've had two Reaper 30's, two ET65's, & two Green Beret's.
    Well constructed, and made sounds.

    How did they sound?
Can't tell you. I didn't have any of the Celestion equivalents in another cab for a quick A/B comparison.

They weren't unpleasant if that helps.

Find a used creamback, they cost less than a new WGS. :yesway:

I tried my Retro 30 speaker again last night because they said it shines at dirty sounds. They were right, if you only play dirty you may love this speaker. However I did not like it for clean or very light crunch very much. (It is not broke in yet though) It may very well work good with the ET65, I'll try that next and we'll see.

I can't comment much with WGS other than the ET65. It was a great sounding speaker with most any amp I tried with it.

I had the regular WGS Reaper and a/b'ed it with the G12H30 Annie, the Reaper sounded rauncher, the Annie was brighter.

I have two ET65's paired with V30's in my 412 cab and a Invader 50 in this DIY 112 cab. I made it out of scrap wood left over from a trashed '63 Hammond spinet I broke down for amps and project parts several years ago.

I've got WGS G12C and G12C/S in my 2x12 cab. A bit harsh at first, but after you put a few miles on them, they're nice speakers.

I had Invader/Reaper 50 mix. I did not like Reaper. So I sold.

I loved the Invader and I regret losing it. I have Vet30/ET-65 mix in a Marshall Cab. Phenomenal tone. ET-65 not too bright, not too gritty. Just right.

Also I have Green Berets 2X12. (I was told Cab was Green Backs). However, I'll keep. It does it's job. I want to replace with Invaders, but I'm sticking with lower Wattage. Unless I can find on an unbelievable sale...

Generally, an over simplification is that WGS sounds better at lower Wattages and volumes than Celestion.
