Owned these amps for years, but I've decided it's time to move these old Marshall heads on to new homes, as I need some work done on my 1969 Firebird. The Scumback demo room will never be the same!

Up for sale are the following heads...they all sound great, no issues.

    1971 Super Lead 100w
    1971 JMP 50w Lead

    69 Super Bass s/n#: SB/A 8424A $OLD!

    71 Super Lead s/n#: SL/A 3384C $4500
Amperex Bugle Boy, Telefunken preamp tubes installed

All heads have been serviced by either Dave Friedman (yes, that Dave Friedman) or Carl Esparza (aka fusionbear).

All are properly working, correct caps, etc and are either stock or returned to stock after removing any mods. A bunch of NOS glass included in each one.

Prices do not include shipping, packing to your location. Recent auctions for these same amps ended at over $5000 each plus shipping. Links below to verify.

Not trying to hijack the thread but what is that Gibson curiosity in the background?

I don't work on amps, but I do appreciate and enjoy looking at a handwired amp. :dude:
Playing them is even better! :metal:

You sold an amp for $4500 in the first 8 hours????

Dang, never realized there was such a lively market for expensive gear

Yep, there are still some buyers out there that know a good thing when they see it. If I'd sold this through eBay, I could have probably sold it for $5500. But by the time you pay 12-14% eBay fees, PayPal fees, etc. you get about $4500. No need in gouging the buyer if you have the goods, the references, etc.

Prices will be high all the time people sit on hundreds of amps in storage.
    Still...
I guess it's their pension pots.
Come the day those folk decide to sell - watch the prices tumble.

I hadn't expected the two 100w to sell in less than 24 hours...but they did. Those two will pay for the engine/tranny/rear end and exhaust rebuild on the Firebird to something, well, potent. LOL

the front looks like a LeMans/GTO. Is it molded rubber too? Was that originally a ragtop?

Good luck with the last amp Jim! My last boss is a YUGE car / bike fan. Has a 20,000 sq/ft toy box filled with cars and CNC equipment. He's currently restoring a 69 Firebird as well. I heard something a while back about some monster crate motor going in.
