Picked this up early this week, a 1998 Fender USA Standard Hardtail. I understand that they were only made a few years.

I love hardtail strats. Kind of hard to find decent ones at reasonable prices.

The Strat with my two Fender amps. I picked up the Vibroverb RI at the same time I bought the Hardtail Stratocaster.

A hardtail Strat will accentuate the 500Hz frequency range in a similar manner as a tremolo Strat with the bridge tightened or wedged flush with the body.

My other Strat has the bridge pulled down to the body with 5 Tremolo springs.

    Gorgeous, love those hardtails!

Have a 1970-? Les Paul with the Gibson/Kahler locking tremolo. Been one of my best friends since I was fortunate enough to acquire it. BUT...one of the limitations is the vast amount of hours spent trying to go in/out of alternate tunings. Seeking another best friend with some versatility and also to solve that problem, I visited multiple stores, played what feels like hundreds of guitars, and came to nearly the same as what @jcm800gridlock posted...2019 American Professional Strat, Olympic White, BUT...the maple neck was my choice. Holy shit does this do things that my LP doesn't. Before I left the store I had them fix the bridge so it's a hard tail, I took the bar and put it in the document pack, and it's never come back out again.

Go hardtails! Sounds like a mascot.

Congratulations on your hard tail strat John , looks as if it can sing the praise’s of above , with out the hassle of constant tuning issues when you go from one to the other.
    Cheers
