I don't like his Slash tone. What do you think? It starts at 10:20.
It's beautiful...thanks for sharing.
I think I need to retire...simply amazing
Way cool! Pretty inspiring to think on his fretting foot it looked like was probably limited to using only those first two toes (yet some of the phrases played sounded as if he had full use of a hand, not to mention the vibrato pulled off at times).
He's even got nice taste in guitars (that super strat is HIP!).
Thanks for posting.
Thanks for sharing. Now to stop my bitching and get my ass back in the practice shed............
We’ve got no reason to complain about tap dancing with pedals anymore. I saw volume changes, pedal tapping and whammy bar all with his feet.
I agree his playing is so amazing!
Thanks for putting things into perspective..
Imo, what I find equally amazing is his mind set. Nothing held him back from achieving what he set out to do...
So much to think about.
If tone is in the hands, and we don't like out tone (or someone else's tone), then should we cut off our hand(s) or some how modify our hands in a less drastic way than cutting the off in order to get the sound we want?
If tone is in the hands and if I play my guitar with a band-aid, will that modify/adversely my tone?
I'm not advocating anything here (nor do I have any answers)-I'm just trying work through this idea that tone is in the hands.
Once the answer is confirmed as a single factor being responsible for the outcome, it is probably wrong.
Plural is a more desirable condition than singular.
Personality+hands or feet+Gear to the power of X.
Pretty bad ass,and he made Sabrina dance. Please make Sabrina dance more.Very inspiring.
Amazing...tone is definitely not in the hands...this proves it!
I'd only go and see him in concert if Sabrina was part of the act.
