If that's the tone you want first of all you need to get a 4 hole amp and jump it. JTM45 will do that quite nicely, for a fairly low budget. Might get an older 4 hole JMP for around same price . Thought the origin would do it but after owning one, just didn't quite make it there. Haven' tried the SV yet but am interested.

    Here's the answer from PG..
Thanks for checking in with PG. We really appreciate you being a fan.

As for the video intro, that is cut and pasted together from an Egnater demo taken from the 2008 NAMM Show featuring Chicago's guitarist Keith Howland:

There's a lot of "room tone" in that clip.... and reverb.

Sounds like my 5 watt Marshall Class 5. AC/DC kind of grind.

That Egnater Tourmaster 4100 has a
great compliment of power settings to use.
Sure covers a lot of territory. :dude:

I like the sound of the Tweaker 40 but ive seen to many of them with problems.

Which Marshall would get me as close to that tone for about $1K? i have a $1K GC gift card.

Most of the Egnaters ive liked the sound of but they just dont seem reliable.

I kinda had my eye on the 6100

Actually there are quite a few historically wrong statements in this video. To start with Jim himself didn't know any thing about electronics he was a drummer and a business man. Dudley Craven, Ken Bran and Ken Underwood started to build amps that Jim then sold under his name in his music store... the amps evolved from there

    the short version...

I was going to say that. Totally sounds like a dimed Fender Super Reverb.

I got that same answer from them. It’s an Egnater.

I've had a Tweaker 15 for a few years. Only amp that was part of a trade, that I went back the next day and paid to get it back.

I won't ever make that mistake again. Sounds incredible through any cab I've hooked it up to.

Oh, you caught on to that.

My point is a good tone is a good tone no matter where it originates or culminates.

I only strive to make great tones using my gear whether Marshall, Fender or whatever.
The thing is I can duplicate any tone you throw out with my rig no matter how custom or processed.
