yeah...the origin would be another good choice.
I was trying to keep the 'budget' in mind....forget about the origin series (I have no interest in them myself...so the dsl came to mind).

Sure the $1200+ series amps of used big guys would do the job, but OP isn't trying to spend the maximum possible.

On the advice of my local amp tech, I tried a new speaker in my Deluxe Reverb before selling it. I dropped an Eminence GA-SC64 in it and am very pleased with the results. I think I’m going to hang on to the Deluxe for the time being. However, due to all of the responses and having the chance to try out a DSL40CR, I will say that that amp is on my radar and may be my next big purchase. Thanks to everyone that took time to give me a recommendation. I hope I can stick around here despite not owning a Marshall...yet.

I love my Vox ac30 for gigs. Loud as f&$? And great chimney cleans and nice dirt. But I like my Marshall’s more and I don’t want to use a pedal for dirt or gain. Just me.

I have dsl40cr as well and I absolutely love it. But maybe look for the jcm600? Great all tube pedal platform for super cheap. Or dsl40cr...get the dsl40cr...
