I am working on a research project about 1970s era “Rosemary” Marshall amps, particularly (i) the story of their emergence among collectors, and (ii) looking into the story of Rosemary. I’ve been following some of the earlier Rosemary-themed threads that pop up every now and then on the forums — I know there are a lot of attempts, false starts, clues and speculation out there already!
    I’m doing this project as a fellow musician and Marshall owner - I play through a 1979 JMP Master Lead 100w + 1973 Tremolo 50w (a Rosemary!)

Here’s a call to any or all of you fellow Rosemary owners/appreciators/doubters/myth makers. I’m interested in connecting with you about any or all of the below (in order of intensity):

*Would you be willing to share a photo of your Rosemary inspection tag along with info about your amp?

**How about playing through your Rosemary amp? I would like to try to catalog some of the sounds and styles of music that Rosemary has helped to foster.

***Would you consider sitting for an interview to talk about your Rosemary amp (video, audio, or transcript only)? Perhaps you have ideas about what these “Rosemary” designations actually mean: is it really a tone thing? is it myth? both, or something else? does it matter now?

I will be doing traveling through the UK/US on behalf of this project, recording video/audio and talking with some of the fellow aficionados, owners, etc. (Bletchley factory is included in all of this). I’m hoping there are some Rosemary owners out there who think this is a cool project and I would appreciate any contributions you might have that move this thread/story forward.
Thank you and hoping to hear from you! Rock on

    Thanks for the welcome!
Rosemary amps are Marshall amps, not “other amps”. This is not the wrong forum section for this post.

Please help spread the word about this project if you know any owners/players/techs with something to say about the legend of these Rosemary-inspected Marshall amps. As many of you have observed there is a story to uncover here!
