Hey! That sounds like a promo for "Hot Fuzz".

The 1973 original stared Edward Woodward. The 2006 remake stared Nicolas Cage. I leave it to the reader to figure out which was better.

I never imagined I would hear about Scott Walker on this particular forum.

(I should have known not to have expectations and prejudices but I never learn...)

I imagine I will not watch Caligula ever, but I might listen to Scott Walker.

Re: Quick ! I the sacresst file evermade right now

OMG, SV dude - I started to watch that and had to shut it down. It was So freakin' freaky!! Hostile was bad, Saw (whichever) was bad, but I can't do that stuff. I like scary like poltergeist scary. But torture I can't do.

can somebody explain why a shot to the nuts is about the last thing we'd want, and yet it is so freaking funny when it happens to somebody else? I really don't enjoy seeing other people get hurt, and yet those damn shots to the boner crack me up.

Something you can watch on netflix.
    Dunno if they have these...

    Session 9 2001
    Dead End 2003
    Outpost 2007

It really depends on what you consider "scary".

    If your drunk or "other"..
    Creepshow 1982
    Evil Dead II 1987
    are lots of fun. :)

Not on Netflix but On Amazon Prime. I use Fire TV to stream.

Apartment 143. Thought it was a nice lil romp. Not the sacriest but it made my 18yr old daughter move from the recliner and sit next to me on the couch.

I liked it for what it was.

    The Exorcist
    Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original)
    The Shinning
SAW is a modern masterpiece...the sequels, Meh..
Pet Sematary is a good King flick.
    Elm street 1&2
    Alien
Event Horizon is a great Sci Fi horror flick.

Not a lot of good stuff in the last 20 years. Just a bunch of bad remakes and completely NON scary stuff like paranormal activity, and all the garbage put out by M. Knight Shamalamadingdong.

Totally subjective, no true best or worst IMO, but I will add my name to the list of people that don't find the torture porn/gross stuff as "scary", not even disturbing lol (which is clearly the filmmakers goal). For me, hacking through body parts, guts and blood, etc, seldom = "scares", heh.

I do LOVE creepy/scary movies though! Probably my favorite genre. And the irony is, I don't believe in any of that crap in reality - ghosts, demons, evil, good/bad spirits, etc, it's all kooky rubbish to me, I often roll my eyes when folks go there lol...BUT, when I'm watching a good scary flick, oh hell yeah, I'm all in, it's all definitely very real and possible! My girlfriend laughs at me cuz my eyes will even water when I get a good movie creeped out vibe going!

    I love...

    The Descent
    The Conjuring
    The Ring
    Sinister
    Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original)

I kinda have a few guilty pleasures, I do like a few of the campy scary stuff too...

Evil Dead (whichever one has BC sitting in the chair and the all s#!t in the room starts laughing at him and he begins losing his mind)

A few that scared me when i was a kid was Jaws when i was like 10 in a dark theatre i cant beleave i didnt fill my pants when that head fell into the opening when Dreyfuss went down in the water in the dark.

Then we got cable in the late 70s and i watched this one called "The car" with james Brolin and i thought it was pretty spooky.

The Thing with Kurt Russel had a few parts in it that i thought was a little creepy.

Ide never seen the texas chainsaw massacre i watched the remake with jessica biel and R. Lee Ermey i didnt think it was that bad.

The Conjuring and The Ring were a few fairly recently ones that scared me a little. The shrill sounds combined with the quick strobe like images and the young girl.

Something about kids being possessed is always creepy to me. The Omen, Exorcist, case 39, The Ring, childs play
