i know its no Marshall..but come on guys what happens at 1:38 is just bullshit amazing, the whole thing is amazing, pls note..he's not a young man at this point. Notice him adjusting the kick mic? He was was the tour bus driver, the tour manager, the lot.
    - he even used to re-fret his own guitars.
    - i just noticed..he doesnt even use a pick
-from 3:30 until 3:37 ( and from 2:05 until 2:17) he plays one note only, repeated..this human tone jackhammer of a man describes more feeling in those seven seconds than anything i've ever played using possibly millions of different notes, over a considerably longer time.

I was privileged to see him with the Icebreakers, here in '86. Roadie cast out the super-long guitar lead so he could bring it to us. Place was jumpin' like the Blues Bros church

You wanna know how to slay it? Well there you go. Irritating part is that what he's doing isn't even technically difficult. Guess some people just got more than their fair share of soul. Or whatever you call it.

Had his own thing going on for sure. I recall hearing that he also only played in an open tuning and always used the capo.

interesting perspective on owning a stable of guitars.

    - he owned a guitar, it got stolen, so he had to get another one.

i remember seeing that chrome cover over his bridge pickup and reading he preferred it there because it sounded wrong without it.

because im smarter than albert collins ( and calling bullshit ) , i promptly proved i was smarter by doing a listening test with/without the cover.

it's different. the cover does something weird to the tops...muffled them a bit.

Yep, it was in the rotation of drinking songs with my friends back in the 90s. Had it on an Alligator Records compilation at the time. Brutal opening, someone would always ask, "Did he just say what I thought he said?". Damn, that's cold!

Always liked his car cranking sound in this too.

Sure wish I would have gone to see him play.
