It occurred to me recently that with all of the success of this years Studio series of amps, what might be up next?

    The "Stage" series
    The "Garage" series
    The "My Mom's Basement" series

What do you think might be up next?

Marshall amp and Cab sims in a pedal a la Strymon Iridium.( Yeah I know that's not an amp series but I think that's where Marshall will have to head, more or less)

They have low budget amps out the wazoo. How about the “modded” series? Something like a 20w modded plexi would be nice. The first thing everybody does that buy’s a Marshall is ”mod” it, then “hit the front end with........” Maybe they could try building an amp that did not need that stuff. This is what has fueled most of the clone amps like Splawn, Friedman, and a host of others.

A ‘Jose’ series would be killer.

Being that the Studio series is so new and its success, i suspect they will add to it with a JVM and continue filling Studio back orders world wide.

I think another channel switcher would be cool but it's gotta be a 6100 though.

I dont know how popular the 6100 is, when was it last built quite awhile ago? Im just not hearing anybody talking about it so i cant see them rehashing it.

It was an anniversary model in 1992, 30th anniversary. So, to make that Studio line look really good we need a mini 6100 in Blue with Brass.
Here is a pic of the one I use to own. Now, that I think about it, not seen in this pic at the time, I had a 1987X. To the left of the 6100 is a JCM 800 2205 and to the right is a Jubilee.
The 6100 had a killer gain channel(s) and the best clean ch Marshall has ever done. It actually had two gain channels making it a 3 ch amp with several modes per ch. The gain ch (Ch 2 mode B) was supposed to be like a JCM 800 but it smoked that 800 beside it.

Due to the design of the 6100 I doubt it could ever be condensed into a small form factor amp. It basically has almost completely separate preamp circuits for each channel (no shared tube stages), which is very cool for modding (modding one channel doesn't affect the others). One the amps I've hung on to, for that very reason.

I'm with this idea ... by far. It's sad that it even has to be suggested.

I'd also like to see them do something serious w/modeling akin to competing w/Kemper & AXE-FX.

Yes, it would have to be a streamed down version like just the clean and ch 2 b.

True that. Even the JVM I mentioned has a ton of knobs I dont know if they could fit a full featured 2 channel JVM in a small form factor.

Yes, this would be a very popular path. Friedman and others have been on this path for years, riding on the coattails of Marshall (IMO). Can't really blame them, Marshall wasn't doing it. Too bad Marshall hasn't realized this and capitalized on it. Who better to produce a hot rod Marshall, than Marshall.
