    Hi MF'ers,

Yeah, ok.. I'm sauced. but.. so what? Look at my MF name. My favorite key is the lowest I can get to... which is C# right now. but I find I really most of the time end up in A flat when I am writing.

The question here is: what is your favorite key? I guess it's a 2 part question. What's your favorite and where do you end up? Bitches. (sorry, I'm pretty hammered right now.)

Depends on how lazy I am. I like A, E and D. But Em, C, B, and Bm tend to get on my frickin' nerves. (I joke, I actually like all the keys.)

I'd been in a lot of Gospel groups in my early days. Some of the best music, and the most educational, I've ever played. You get to play with so many talented people and it just makes you grow. But the piano is the rule of that genre, and if you're going to be a guitar player you need to be ready and able to transpose to ANY and EVERY key at a moment's notice, because you never know when ol' Bertha's gonna modulate. In fact, that's how I wore out ALL the frets on my first Strat - we played in almost every key for the first 3 years.

D minor is the saddest of all keys.

I tend to like anything except straight major keys. I also tend to like timings other than 3/4-4/4. I like harmonic minor & diminished sounding stuff. Sad & dark? maybe, but I like aggressive & sinister, or something that makes you think of psychosis by the dizzy scale.

I tend to like heavy slow grooves.

From the early days, I've always been drawn towards European music & not so much for US music. Probably for those reasons.

I'm liking F#m a bit lately, and I'm playing with a composition that modulates between Bmaj and Am which is rather exciting to explore.... The way it modulates is very abrupt and unexpected. it's kind of like walking along in the third floor of a building and all of a sudden finding yourself on the second floor.

Gb is a good one. I wouldn't use it for verse or chorus but I like it. Has it's uses. LOL.
