Over the last couple of years i have been asked on numerous occasions to be interviewed concerning then doing research for a book or a film which they are making on the early days of Rock and Roll music.
Each time i have refused as no one will guarantee what i say will not be edited down for effect as that will end up like all the others totally distorted.

The basic truth is all on the Dudley Craven web site www.dudleycraven.com which has been compiled by Dudleys wife as she was there with him in those very early days along with myself, and sadly now we are the only two left that know the truth.

My main opposition to all of this is that why should someone expect to gather info for free to make a product for gain.

RIP Dudley Craven and Ken Bran.

We have the same problem. For many decades I've owned some rare and (lately) desirable motorcycles. Most of us who have had them around the world kinda know each other. A lovely gentleman in France created a register for them. Tons of work for the love of it. Then an AH australian "journalist"/author tried to get his stuff out of him for nix to feed his next book. Bullied him. The gentleman turned to me bewildered and I think he felt better sending the "journalist" on his way when I told him what I thought of the person. And in case you are wondering I've told the person in question to his face what I think of him and would love another opportunity.

    Yeah Ken,
You set yourself up for more headaches than all of the drama would be worth …… As long as the guys here in The MAF know about the history …… That in itself is a small Victory …… We appreciate you !

    It's the 21st century.

Name recognition branding = internet monetization. People PAY to get interviewed now.

As an example here is a clip from an interview on a US TV channel

He boasts of being involved with the electronics on Spitfire wings in WW2, dont even think the word electronics was used back then.

    Rest my case guys.

I totally agree mate, Marshall would never admit that they got it wrong, yes 1962 was when JM shop opened but amps did not start until 1963.

The Beatles never released the track " I saw her standing there" until March 1963 and that was that last song that was played in the Ealing Club on that September Sunday night in `63 when the final test was carried out, that amp went into JM`s shop the next morning and was bought by Pete Townsend for £110.

I was there and i am lucky to have a pin sharp memory, and at 73 this Sunday 27th not bad i say.

Is there anything bad in admitting they got it wrong.

    Happy Birthday Ken!

I do and say wrong things all the time- most of the time I'm not *too* averse to admitting it- but then again, I don't have a 50+ year of legendary reputation to uphold. I mean, I do, but that legendary reputation is only in my mind.

Those who will write history as they see it or rather as they desire.
People need to read and see beyond other's lines.
So often they few take advantage of others and the many.

Wait, are we back to the topic of the upper self pronounced echelon?
