I haven't watched the Grammys in years.

I saw the first 20 minutes.

The Grammys are as real as the WWE.

Music has nothing to do with the music business.

    Entering the Grammys..................

I flipped past a couple times. Tyler the Creator was good . The Prince tribute just ok.
The show has always been marginal.

Watched Aerosmith & Run DMC turn into a trainwreck sad...at least Joey Kramer didn't have to be part of that mess...

Remember the 90’s when the Grammys were considered a curse because every musician/group that won one was never heard of again? Same thing now except the talentless shitbags that pass for musicians these days are more than lucky to be a one album and done flash in the pan.

I have no interest in any awards type of show, and that’s my two cents.

The Grammys haven't actually meant anything since the 70's

I went about 17 years ago. All the REAL music awards are on the non -televised part of te presentation. The part where before commer$ial breaks on TV, when they show a photo and say,"The award for Best Indigenous Recording goes to..."

It was kinda fun. I met Jimmy Sturr ,The King Of Polka ,at a nominees party. We had a couple drinks ,cracked some jokes .he was rockin the pompadour. He's won 18 times in 24 nominations
I met Ricky Byrd from Joan Jett & The Blackhearts...we talked of Steve Marriott

Steve Vai opened up the ceremony with some super badass shredding nonsense
I was seated next to Norah Jones & her sister ...but Norah had to leave her seat because she won about FOUR FCKN Grammies !
So this curly headed dude named Saul comes with his then wife, Perla ."Excuse me man, are those seats taken?" Says I, These seats are OPEN for the guy who saved the Les Paul and the wah wah in 1987.....
Those are my Grammy memories . I lost BTW to a BB King Xmas album

@axe4me ,unfortunately ,it has everything to do with the music BUSINESS,IMO
Just not music ....at least not on TV

To me the granny's are a joke. It's not about real musicians. It's about pop singers who don't even write their own songs, they have paid song writers. As far as rock and metal bands they only show bands that are more commercial sounding. How many times have you've seen Metallica on the grammys? Why are they the only band that plays the granny's? What about all the other great metal bands like slipknot, slayer, Testament, Killswitch Engage to name a few. The grammys to me is always about all the Foo Foo music with dance numbers. So, I never watch them anymore.

It didn't used to be like that.

For years back in the 70's and 80's I used to love purchasing all the music nominated for the Best Engineered category (Rock). Some of the greatest recordings of all time ended up there. Not so much anymore...

When a singer needs to wave their arms to sing, then I'm a non believer.

It's like the Super Bowl half game show...................IMO, terrific dancing and costumes.

    Musicianship was spiffy but horrible.

There didn't seem to be any ounce of musical ability........but it was slick.

    WTF do I know?

Grammy's show me increasingly each year an arising immoral culture I can't tolerate. Art should be inspiring, not demoralizing. It gets worse every year. I fail to understand that, for all the boundaries they keep pushing, why don't they just go ahead and take it all off once in for all, and be the public orgy pigs they really want to be? I mean seriously man, at this point WTF is holding them back? We've already got their crotches in 4K macro, the only question that remains whether she's neat or natural? Either way, it wouldn't be a big surprise at this point.

Screw morals anymore, where's just the common sense? Oh right - without morals, common sense becomes profiteering and what human can say no to more money? Meanwhile, in New York we have soda bans and now plastic straw bans and we're well on our way to plastic fork & spoon bans. Humans are f*cking disgusting.

Yeah. Humans are disgusting. I can agree.

We are our own worst enemies.

And apparently, the masses are blind to it.
