Thought you guys would be into a little amp porn. This is a Sunn Enforcer I bought new in '84. It is a loud, awesome bitch!! Plug a Strat or a Tele straight in to this for some single coil tube drive goodness. Humbuckers are sweet. When I drive the front of it with a clean boost it's a monster loaded with muscle and never ending sustain.
The transformers in this thing are huge and the head alone weighs a ton.

That's the amp Uncle Ted used for quite a while. They used to have the life-sized cut outs of Uncle Ted standing next to an Enforcer in the music stores.

Yeah Teds Sunn amp was based on the Enforcer....the actual signature amp was called the "Penetrator" . The "Penetrator" name was wrote in the same place "Enforcer" was on the front of the amp and Teds signature was above that. I didn't buy it because Ted used it.. haha actually I didn't know Ted used one.

Okay, I was just a little confused about that. I had a chance to bid on an Enforcer on EBAY, but forgot to bid and it went for a fair price. The seller said it was the Ted Nugent amp, but now I know differently.

I love Sunn tube amps....I had a mid 70s Model T for a while....I sold it to get a JCM800 4103 combo out of layaway....I got is for $285 at a Pawn Shop that didn't really know the value....that is one amp I wish I had back....not only was it loud, but one nite I had a friend adjust the tone eq while I was jammin' out, and I couldn't believe all the tone possibilities with it....always have been a big Sunn Fan.....

Yep. I stated in another thread that I thought the SUNN amps were the closest thing to an American Marshall. Hand wired, huge iron and lots of tubes.
