One really smart move would be an upgrade of the Studio Classic and Studio Vintage combos to 12" speakers! Another good thing would be a smaller format JVM head, 2 channels, 50 watt and the width of a JVM215. They should also re-release/design some version of a "factory approved" power brake or attenuator, to allow players to custom tailor their volume levels with their amp cranked to the owner's perceived "Sweet Spot!"

Other than that, I feel that Marshall is doing a fairly good job of providing what many folks want. Although they did kinda "screw the pooch" concerning the reverb on the DSL40 & 100, but the DSL20 is pretty stellar in most aspects, if not one of the units with defects! I think they should have combined the fantastic "Power Stem Technology" of the Origin Series into what became the re-designed DSL Series and just not bothered with the Origin altogether.

    Oh Well!

Studio JTM maybe? They seem to have covered most other favored classics.

Doesn't this already exist? JVM205H? Or is that the same size as the 410H?

I shot my mouth off last year with almost the same thing you just said.
And I was wrong, the only complaining was the amps unavailability!
So I am just going to wait and see.
    Cheers Mitch

That would kind defeat the whole premise of the series. For that matter, there are already 100 & 50 watt versions, via the JCM800 2203 and 1987X, in the Vintage Reissue series, as well as the 1959HW in the Hand Wired Series!

Yeah, the JVM215 measures in at a width of 23.8 inches, while all other models (heads & combos) are in the range of 27.2 inches to 29.1 inches. A 29 inch wide head looks pretty goofy sitting on a 24 to 25 inch wide cabinet! The fact that the 215 is identical in every other way to the other 2 channel models, except width and speaker configuration tells us that it would be a no brainer to make 2 channel, 50 watt JVM heads in a 23.8 inch wide package. Dumb asses in marketing who simply can't see the forest for the trees and likely because they spend too much time at the water cooler looking at co-workers' protruberances and other physical attributes! I do thnk it wouldn't be a bad idea to release a 4 channel, 50 watt JVM. Most reports/reviews of the nicely functioning master volumes of the JVM Series, leads me to think a Studio JVM may be a bit superfluous?

    Just My $.02,
    Gene

Ahh, I see. I did not know there was such a size difference. I would agree with you on the size form factor, I think a 24" head is the perfect size. Good call on that, thanks for the education.

*Edit* I don't have any of the JVM series amps, did have a JCM 2000 once, huge head.

It wasn't the wattage, it was the size of the box, 205H is almost 30", 215C is just shy of 24".
