    Hi guys,

Just began to re-record an old song of mine with the JMP-1. It's just the first takes, but I'm quite happy with the rhythm tones, what do you guys think? Playing could be tighter, but I'll fix that!

EDIT: Forgot to mention its missing the vocals?

    Cheers,

PS most of the melody lines are not the JMP-1 but the POD 2.0, I haven't had time to redo them yet

Thanks! I meant the JMP-1 preamp - recorded direct with the Torpedo WoS plugin.

Hmmm... probably should have posted this in The Cellar. Can a mod please move the thread?

Great sounds! Care to share some settings? From a fellow Jmp1er! And I very much like the song too. Live drums or sequencer?

Hey, thanks for the kind words! Glad you liked! I'll post the settings for you later tonight, cos I'm not home now. The drum were samples, BTW

Ok, so on that recording its two guitars sounds, which I feel complement each other well. Here are the settings:

    Guitar 1 - OD1
    Volume 18
    Gain 16
    Bass 6
    Middle -2
    Treble 2
    Presence 0

    Guitar 2 - OD2
    Volume 18
    Gain 15
    Bass 5
    Middle -3
    Treble 3
    Presence 0

I must also add that although the guitars are recorded direct, I didn't use the JMP-1's Speaker Emulated outs, which IMO doesnt cut it for a full recording. Instead, I ran the JMP-1 though the Two-Notes Torpedo WoS plugin in my computer recording software (Reaper). The Torpedo WoS is a powerful and amazing plugin which offers power amp, cab and mic simulations. So, basically you're simulating all the aspects of the recording chain that you're missing when going direct. I strongly suggest that people try it out, it has a free demo version that comes with two cab sims. After that, you can just buy whatever cabs you want from their store for 8 euros per cab.

Thanks again for listening and for providing feedback!

    Cheers,
    ripper
