Welp, we had a blizzard over the weekend. Really socked us in in some places. I read that the county has every single plow and road grader available and in service. Several major highways are closed indefinitely. Daytime temperatures are in the teens and 20s, nights are single digits, but then there's the wind as well. Day before yesterday I dug my driveway out about 12 times before I gave up, dug a guy out in a small car when he tried to conquer the mountain ranges of drifts in it, helped my older neighbor shovel her driveway, and then last night it all snowed in again. Forecast says snow all week. Schools are closed, daycare is closed, everything's friggin closed except where my wife works. So today, I get to stay home with the kiddos after I drive the wife to work. Her car isn't going anywhere, not unless I get out there and dig it out too, and then she'll still be too scared to drive it in this weather lol. My boss, "The Sausage" isn't going to like to hear it, but hey, that's just the curl of the burl, man. Sun will come up tomorrow, the Earth will still be spinning, life will continue, and this will all happen without me being present at work, so he can eat a bag full of dicks.

Snow day for grown ups! What will I do with it?

Maybe I'll load a chain up in my truck and drive around town looking for stuck motorists. I've been that guy in the snow or the mud, watching other people drive by without looking twice, it sucks!

Maybe I'll just sit on my ass and stay by the fire.

Haven't seen weather quite like this here in 20-30 years. I was beginning to think that "global warming" was maybe even real. Nope, just the normal cycle of things over time. Old man winter is back, and with a vengeance.

Where you at? Its snowing today in Baltimore but its only accumulated 2 inches so far and its still snowing, kids got off today, I got an hour delayed opening at work, that's about it nothing exciting or consequential like where you're at.

hey Baltimore? i get so much stuff off CL there..always meeting in Towson at 695 split... maybe we could for fun.you have the new studio...would love to hear it. I have nice bandroom if you ever wanna jam and would love to compare how it sounds. No motive ..no amp bashing..just really line up some cool Marshall's and we can put on of dif cabs and how they all sound....ahh..you got a 800 2204 also..we would be able to compare jmp50,jcm800,6100, DSL100h w/plexi mod, DSL40cr head, would actually get an Origin if we were to do this to ad to the comparison

Sounds like a good day to bundle up the kids and play in the snow … and don't forget the mandatory hot chocolate warm up breaks! As for lunch, I'd probably be thinking along the lines of grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup :yum:

If the weather is too brutal, how about playing some board games w/the kids? That's a lot of old school fun.

Btw., I have no clue how old your kids are, so I could be way off base here.

DUDE GRILLED CHEESE AND 'MATER SOUP!!

That's the best thing I've heard all day.......so far anyway, it's only 0730 here...

Kids are 6 and 11, I'm sure we'll be out and about at some point doing what we can to enjoy it!

Yeah, I'm gonna do it too. Might have to 4x4 my way down to the grocery store for the soup, but I anticipate it'll be totally worth it.

Here's a pic from a neighboring county's news that illustrates the condition fairly well:
