Hi guys ,I know some of you are tired of Slash posts but this was posted a few hours ago,
I guess he's back to his old rig !......and with some old and reissue Jubilee's which is a good sign!
Maybe those ones are sweeter sounding than the AFD's !?

He's been using his Jubilees again since the GnR reunion happened in 2016, and he stopped using the AFD100s on tour around 2013. He was using some Friedman modded 2203s 2014-2015 then back to jubilees again in 2016-present.

It can be a good thing or a bad thing. I have a large amount of amps so it's no big deal to me.

But yes, it is quite easy to get the GnR tone with the 2525H and some Alnico 2 PAFs. I'm using BB1 and BB2 in Les Paul CR8, and the neck nails the lead tone and the bridge nails the crunch tone.

I have a 2555SL and had two Jubilees in 87 which I didn't care for them back then because they came with 4x12's loaded with G12-70's so didn't know st the time !

Finally got around to watching the video, it was kind of lame. He didn't take out any of the guitars to show us and barely showed the amps. Ace wasn't even his actual tech on this tour, the guy who starts tuning guitars midway through the video is. Nick just looked like he was in the way the whole time and there didn't seem to be any kind of order to the explanation of his rig. I'm a huge Slash fanboi so I already know every piece of gear that they showed but for people who don't know it would've been nice to go more in depth instead of just pointing to random things in the rack.

So...basically... he takes a Les Paul. And plugs it into a Marshall.

    ....shocking!

He has been using the Jubilees for a long while. The first show he did with Axl he had a couple of his old Jubilees. I heard an interview where he was raving about the 2555x and how he thought it sounded better than some of his originals. I think he meant that there was less variation between units. We all know how lenient the tolerances were back in the 80's.

I have a Friedman small box 50watt amp that does the same thing.
    According to Friedman this normal.

Scratchy pots do not sound normal to me and would be a major turn off for me . I can't believe Dave Friedman would have that written that ?
