    Thank you!

Damn, those V30's sound meaty, even in a small'ish combo on a 1W setting.
No head, no loop, but it sounds great!

I'll save my judgement for when we get a demo recorded with a real mic. Should get one from PremierGuitar eventually.

Sounds fantastic, but such a shame all it can be used for is a practice amp being a measly 5 watts...................

I like that they used an EL34 in the power section.

They could have done something to make it stand out a bit more as a signature model, like putting in a built in ashtray.

Sounds pretty damn good and LOUD. It also sounds like slash bent Marshall over a table..."slash didn't want...slash this...slash that...." How bout "WE" as in MARSHALL? Is it a Marshall brand or is it a slash brand? Take some ownership of it and don't act like slash hand built the thing in his garage.

It's an artist signature amplifier. The very point of it is giving the artist exactly what they want.

If it's $700 then in the UK we should be looking at around £450ish which I don't thinks too bad!
    Cool little combo IMO!

I would have one, but not sure if £600 is a bit excessive...

    About same as a JMP1C then!:hmm:
Did I see somewhere the SL5 is made in China?
There's going to be ALOT of pro's & cons for the low wattage buyers to add up!
(Still better to be spoiled for choice than have non to choose from!)

Well, I'm glad it's got a 12" speaker and EL34 driving it. From the clips I've heard, it's worth checking out. Still will probably work for small clubs and studio work. That might be the most value. My 800 is noisy enough that it's a pain to record mic'd. It's a bit steeply priced but, as with most things, if you can hold out for used or coupon sales, might be able to acquire it at a more reasonable cost. Since I haven't heard the Marshall 5 watt amp, I'll maybe do an A/B comparison and see if the SL is worth the premium but, with the above stated bits, I'm thinking it might be a nice bedroom/basement amp.
