They are great flexible amps and really like V30's as well as GBs. It also got me back into 100 watt Marshalls.

I love mine too. Add a good boost and a reverb/delay and they kill for lead and clean and anywhere in between.

What year or years are the reissue considered to be???? Plus I'm taking my head to Deltronics today to have them check it out. amp has great sound, just not the loud, loud volume i keep hearing about. My 6505+ a far inferior amp ( but great in it's own way ) is 5 times + louder. wtf. i'll find out soon enough.

Beware that the taper on the master volume on Jubilees comes on much more slowly than most amps. They don't get loud until well beyond 12:00 on the output master and that is still with high input gain and lead master settings. Also a high output pickup will compress the front end requiring higher lead master settings, than with a vintage output pickup. If V2 is weak it won't get very loud.

The 2255x is a reissue of the 87-88 years as far as I know.

Let us know what the diagnose is.

I agree on that, I was surprised as well, compared to a DSL or a JCM900, the 2555X seems to "wake up" later. But the loudness and the tone are finally there, don't worry. Plus its a bit tricky to get used to the output maser and the lead master thing...

I think for a home user the taper on these 2555x is perfect. You can get a great tone at low volumes thanks to having two master volumes on the lead channel.

Love the tone He got out of that old Jube. It has that recognizable tone to it that I can never describe but notice when it is missing.
